Examples of what can be covered in courses.
1 or 2 hour presentation for Doctors at all levels.

2 hour workshop for staff in schools/ colleges.
"Introduction to self-harm" - what is self-harm; the meaning and purpose of self-harm; understanding of young people's needs - a short DVD; guidelines for school staff in how to manage and deal with self-harm.
The above are just a "sample" of courses available and training can be tailored to the specific needs of your organisation/ staff both in content and length of course.
"In House" training.
Training courses run "in-house" are available at a venue provided by your service for a group of your staff, usually up to a maximum of 18 participants.
Training workshops can be half-day, full day, or shorter presentations by arrangement. Discuss and agree a training format that meets your service needs
The informative and participative workshops aim to help people develop a general understanding of self-harm.
